Edmonds House

From the outside, this house seemed adorable. A cute little bungalow, located just outside of Seattle, WA. However, the inside was not cute…To put it nicely, it was a hot mess. During the initial walkthrough, it was hard to even grasp what was there due to the overwhelming amount of stuff.
Here is what we were dealing with:
We knew we had to open the first floor up, and we decided to add two additional bedrooms in the basement to fully utilize the space.
We wanted to bring charm and character back into this home, and we did that through light, bright colors, and light oak flooring.
Below are a few preliminary renderings, courtesy of SketchUp. When working through the design, I use this software to quickly build out the space and see how the floor plan feels.
